I lived in Newport for almost 2 years and was super shocked by how overcast it was daily. I also lived in a very dark apartment and it made it super depressing. Other than that, Newport is gorgeous, but make sure you get a place with lots of lighting and you’ll be fine.
I’ve lived in Newport for over 35 years. It IS NOT overcast as much as these guys make it sound. And, as far as tourists go, keep pouring your sales tax dollars into our economy. We love it.😚
