Thank you for your videos! Would you say $110,000 after taxes is enough for a family of 4 to live in Long Beach without struggling? This is what I’d be making in my first few years. We wouldn’t need childcare at all because my wife would only work 3-4 days per month as a registered nurse on a flex schedule so that she can keep her license. She’d easily be able to pay her own car note and car insurance while I cover the rest of our expenses. We would want to rent a 2 bedroom apartment preferably south of 7th ave closer to the beach, and I’ve been seeing some go for around $2600 that I wouldn’t mind living in. Most I’d want to pay is $2800. Later on we’d eventually want to go for a 3 bedroom as our kids grow up especially because I’ll make more on a pay raise step system. But I asked this question on a Reddit section for people moving to Los Angeles county and a lot of people said I was in over my head thinking we can make it on this salary in Long Beach which disappointed me.
